Gordon Whiteacre BDS (Otago) FDSRCS (Eng)
Following
graduation (with distinction) at Otago, and a year in hospital
treating accident trauma cases, Gordon travelled to England
for 5 years. Working in hospitals & private practice,
while studying at the Royal College of Surgeons to gain the
Fellowship in Dental Surgery. In 1981 returning to NZ Gordon
took over a practice in St Heliers Bay. 22 years later, he
has an excellent experience base to work from and combines
this with a strong desire to treat every patient as a special
person. Chair of the Dental Postgraduate committee which organises
educational courses for dentists in this region. With attention
to detail in his work and the practice in general, along with
a very caring manner, Gordon looks forward to meeting each
and every new patient.

Michelle Leong BDS (Otago)
A
General dentist with years of local experience working in
private practices, Michelle has a strong commitment to provide
exceptional dental care in a relaxed and caring environment.
With a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and a vision
to build beautiful, healthy smiles, Michelle is a firm believer
in continuing education. She regularly attends courses to
keep updated in the latest advances and techniques in modern
dentistry so as to provide patients with the highest standard
of dentistry. Working in close consultation with you she will
ensure that you receive the best total quality care tailored
to your individual needs. |

Julie
Schultz DipDentHyg (Otago) Dental Hygienist
Julie
qualified DipDentHyg, the two year diploma in Dental Hygiene
at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Otago, and
has since been working in several practices in Auckland. Prior
to undertaking her hygienist qualification Julie gained experience
as a dental assistant and receptionist in various practices.
Julie brings to our practice a friendly caring manner and
genuine desire to improve her patients' oral health levels.
She joins with us in understanding the team approach, which
we know, provides you, our patients, with the best possible
chance of good long-term oral health. |

Katie
Martens - Dental Assistant
Katie
has worked full-time as a dental assistant in both Gold Coast
and Auckland practices. Her main role is to assist the dentist
through each appointment and to provide a comfortable and
caring environment for the patient. Katie is committed to
high standards of hygiene and providing excellent patient
care. Her other major role is to ensure that the sterilizing
area is running smoothly and kept to a high state of cleanliness
at all times. Supplies ordering and control is another important
role, not often seen by our patients.
Claire
Meekin - Dental Assistant
Claire
has worked full-time as a dental assistant for almost two
years and has recently graduated from the NZDA course with
top marks. She is finding her job very rewarding, especially
being valued as an important team member and constantly having
the support of and supporting other team members. Her main
role is to assist the dentist and to ensure the smooth running
of day to day appointments. An important behind the scenes
role is the many faceted area of laboratory work.
